A shortage of teachers in Kammam district of Telangana has been noticed at the centralised Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) examination spot valuation camp. As per the statements of sources, many people did not turn up for the spot valuation and gave 'health' and other 'personal reasons' excuses.

The shortage of teachers in Kammam district of Telangana has been noticed at the centralised Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) examination spot valuation camp.
This issue has created tension among the School Education authorities of the district as special assistants are needed to complete the ongoing spot valuation work.
Moreover, the answer sheets of the SSC public examination are presently underway at the centralised spot valuation of St. Joseph's high school and the camp is expected to get over by April 22.
According to The Hindu's report , an official said that in the valuation work, over 170 candidates turned up out of the total 375 for the work in the district.
As per the statements of sources, many people did not turn up for the spot valuation and gave 'health' and other 'personal reasons' excuses.
Speaking on the shortage of teachers, N Rajesh, District Educational Officer, Khammam said that there is a shortage of 27 special assistants in the spot valuation camp.
Further the sources said, due to "meager remuneration" for people assigned for spot valuation work, several teachers did not come for the spot valuation camp.
While commenting on this issue, N Rajesh said that the education department is making efforts to engage special teachers from the additional secondary grade teachers.
