Programme of Schedule

First Day 17.01.2017 (Tuesday)

Road Safety awareness walkathon

From Labour statue to Gandhi statue in Chennai City and with regard to the Districts, under the Chairmanship of concerned Hon’ble Ministers, District Collectors and Police Commissioners/Superintendents of Police.

Participants:- Driving Schools, Car Dealers, IRT Drivers, STUs Drivers, NSS, Home Guards and Police Department Drivers

Second Day 18.01.2017 (Wednesday)

Conducting of rally with the two wheelers dealers and drivers for creation of awareness about wearing of helmet in their respective Jurisdiction by all the RTOs.

Third Day 19.01.2017 (Thursday)

Conducting of Essay competition, Oratory competition and Drawing competition regarding Road Safety awareness and best Road Safety slogans among school students and awarding of prizes for the winners.

Fourth Day 20.01.2017 (Friday)

Conducting of free medical camps and first aid to all the drivers by the RTOs.

Fifth Day 21.01.2017 (Saturday)

Fixing of Red - Reflecting stickers on the rear side of the vehicles and creation of Road Safety awareness in the respective Toll Gates of the Districts. Issue of pamphlets regarding Road Safety awareness by the Transport Department officials 

Sixth Day 22.01.2017 (Sunday)

Creation of Road Safety awareness among the road users in all the important inter section points, signals and important places where people will gather in large numbers with the help of Home Guards, Non-Governmental Organization, etc.

           

Seventh Day 23.01.2017 (Monday)

Conducting of enforcement activities like over speed, overload, travelling without helmet, without seat belt and using cell phone while driving.

            Taking of Road Safety Pledge in all the Schools, Colleges, Regional Transport Offices, Unit offices and State Transport undertakings.
